Hello everyone! I'm back with a restaurant review today :-) Last weekend I went to Marina Bay Sands to watch CATS with my family. As in the musical not actual cats. It was really good! All that dancing plus singing is probably insanely tiring.
Anyway before that we had lunch at Pita Pan. Pita Pan has been around a long time. I had lunch there with my parents 3 years ago and the fact that it's still around is a testimony to it's good food. Other shops have come and gone but Pita Pan remains! :-)
Pita Pan is a Mediterranean, vegetarian restaurant. Their food is healthier than the average restaurant and most of it is dairy free. They seem to place a large emphasis on health judging by the health tips printed on to the walls of their open-air restaurant. Lucky for us it was a cool day and it was pretty comfortable!
You can't tell but it was a busy day at Pita Pan. Seemed like a pretty popular place! As you can see, Pita Pan is a self service style eatery.
This is mine and it was so delicious!!
Check out the rainbow inside my pita! Every bite seemed to uncover a new layer of veggies! They marinate their vegetables really well and everything tasted so fresh :-)
This is how the inside of the falafels look. They have a mild curry taste and are really delicious and crisp on the outside. Since they're deep fried, this is not something I'd eat on a regular basis but once in a while is fine!
My brother got cous cous and vegetable soup. There's a special name for this dish which I have forgotten unfortunately.
I wanted to try "dolma" — vine leaves stuffed with spiced rice — but they told me it was not available that day :-( next time! I almost ordered the pita pizza without cheese but it's lucky I didn't. I saw someone else's order and that little pizza would not have been enough for me.
Only thing I don't like about Pita Pan is the oiliness of the sauces they use but that's natural because Mediterranean food has lots of olive oil I think. And you can always skip the sauces when you order your pita!
Overall highly recommend this place!
