My parents ordered the laksa, which they later informed us is dairy free and low in fat! (almond milk)

The thunder tea rice came with carrots and (I think it was) cabbage, seaweed, spring onion, chopped cashews (which is a unique twist to the peanuts normally used in this dish), tofu, and some mock ikan bilis. The mock ikan bilis was crispy but not too oily (: So I can't compare to non vegan thunder tea rice, since I have not tried it before, but this itself was a really tasty dish.

Initially I was afraid the tea would be too pungent for my taste buds, but IT WAS FINE. Just don't go drinking it on its own.. This was a wonderful first experience of lei cha (thunder tea).



Pinched some of the laksa from my parents and it was good, but maybe it could be a little spicier. According to them it was very laksa like despite not containing some key ingredients like belachan (prawn paste). It is also less heavy and lemak than regular laksa due to less coconut milk being used.

I really like Sunny Choice as they serve really healthy, tasty and affordable food, but it is very inconvenient for those not staying in the West. Hopefully they'll open more outlets in the future.
