The first time I tried nomVnom was last year with Alphonsine (@simplyalphonsine). Since then they have relocated to Clarke Quay Central which I think was a good move because it was so much easier to find them this time. Also the CBD area seems to have a pretty good market for healthy/vegan food!
More spacious than their previous location.
We shared 2 sides: vietnam yam rolls ($3.90) and earl grey muffin ($3.50). BOTH WERE SO GOOD! Highly recommend them. The muffin had bits of tea leaves and was filled with citrus jam. It was still warm when we ate it at the end of our meal. It had just the right amount of tea flavour. I am not a fan of drinking tea but mildly tea flavoured things like this I LOVE.
The yam rolls were so sweet and crispy! The yam inside was so gooey and warm sigh *.* Slightly oily but so delicious. You can see in the pictures that our meal came with this vinegar thing. We actually quite liked sipping on it through the meal. Some people may find it too strong! They didn't have this the first time I visited. Overall we enjoyed the meal and found it relatively affordable especially because we got the students discount (forgot how much the discount was haha).
The photo above is from my first visit to nomVnom at their old outlet. I tried the otah otah burger ($6.50) and absolutely loved it. Used to be an otah addict and this their otah patty is seriously legit. Also its the cheapest burger they sell yay. But I would prefer more veggies inside ?
Alphonsine got the dhall fusion burger ($7.90)... Wasn't fantastic haha. I recall the soy patty tasting very similar to the ones at veganburg.
In comparison to veganburg, nomVnom feels more homemade while veganburg feels more processed. The flavours in veganburg are more intense and the burgers look identical and perfect. At nomVnom the food tastes..... cleaner? And they do try to make some healthier burgers by steaming the patties. The burger buns are steamed too and partially wholemeal. I think veganburg buns have a better texture which makes the burgers easier to eat.
Do try the food at nomVnom if you have the chance to!
