Single serving buttermilk chocolate protein waffles

I'm so excited with how this recipe turned out! The waffle checks all the boxes for a healthy recipe yet it still remains fluffy and flavourful. They also aren't too sweet so you can spam toppings! This makes exactly 1 waffle so you can easily adjust the recipe to make the exact number of waffles you desire. Enjoy!

Buttermilk chocolate protein waffles
Fat free, refined sugar free, whole-wheat
Yields 1 waffle


The Ingredients


1 tsp apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup + 1 tbsp unsweetened soy milk
1/3 banana, mashed
1/4 cup whole-wheat flour 
1 tbsp vegan chocolate protein powder
1/4 tsp baking power 


How to


1- Preheat waffle maker. 
2- Stir apple cider vinegar and soy milk together. Allow the mixture to curdle and form vegan buttermilk.
3- Combine dry ingredients. Add buttermilk and mashed banana into the dry ingredients and whisk together to form waffle batter.
4- Cook in waffle maker and serve with all your favourite toppings!
